An incredible base for exploring Shanghai. Really close to the airport, 25 km...

Hotel with a wide range of facilities, large and well equipped rooms, everything new. Staff at the reception efficient and fluent in English. One electrical power failure in my room was repaired by one hotel technician in a couple of minutes after my request to the reception. Faster would be impossible!

Several info requests by e-mail before my arrival had no reply. One window in my room had a damaged lock and could not fully isolate the noise from the street. I only realized this the night before my return, so I had no chance to check the hotel reaction to any request on this. However, the problem was there since my arrival and apparently the room service staff had not noticed/reported on this. The location with respect to the metro network is not very convenient.

the rooms are spacious and comfortable with useful amenities like a desk for business travel. the breakfast selection offers both eastern and western options. the bathrooms are well-equipped with a nice bath.

The customer service from the front desk staff could be improved according to one review.

The staff in the hotel were all very friendly. The lobby of the hotel was beautiful. We had a room overlooking at the river with view of the pearl tower. The night scene of the city was truly wonderful from the 27th floor. It was a very good experience to stay at this hotel except the location of the hotel is a little far from activities in downtown & touristy area. Fortunately we had been to Shanghai before so it is not that hard to get around by taxi. Taxi service is not expansive in Shanghai. If your destination is very far, you can ask the taxi driver to take you to the closest subway station (12RMB), the subway ticket is only 3RMB. Subway system in Shanghai is very good, fast and very clean. Travellers to Shanghai please take caution not to get scammed by a woman at the Pudong Airport arrival hall when she offers car service of her car company to go to hotel asking for 300RMB to 500RMB because she will get you a station wagon taxi (4 people with luggages can fit in) at departure level but at the end of your taxi ride, you still have to pay the taxi driver the metor fare. Our driver of this regular station wagon taxi had no idea and he had no connection with the woman who was happy to pocket the money you paid (300RMB) to her before the door was closed..... Taxi ride from the Pudong Airport to Wyndham Hotel is only 140RMB.

location of the hotel is a bit far from downtown and touristy area.

The size of the room was very impressive. The bathroom with built-in LCD TV and rain shower was a bonus. Room service was also very reasonable & had a large selection of various cuisines to choose from.

The check-in was slow. The front desk receptionist did not speak very good English. Furthermore, they could not find my reservation even when I produced a copy of my print out from Booked.net. Location is not the best as it's located right next to the Yangpu bridge where there lots of traffic noise at night & nowhere to convenient to go unless you use taxi as your means of transport. The swimming pool is tiny and the jacuzzi was not functioning. Also, the executive lounge was always closed when we were there for the 4 day duration.

Great experience overall! The rooms were spacious with a spectacular view. The hotel has a strategic location with easy access to local markets and shopping centers. The hotel amenities were excellent, particularly the gym and the pool.

Communication with the staff was a bit challenging due to language barriers. we experienced some issues with the room keys, and it took a while to have the problem fixed.

The staff were ok but not particularly friendly, except for the concierge.

The staff were poorly trained and were very unhelpful. The processes in the hotel didn't seem to work that well and mistakes are common. They were often rude and unwelcoming. The food was ok but the evening buffet was inedible with very few choices.

The hotel's location is convenient, with a modern shopping mall and a big food court nearby for lunch or dinner options. Additionally, it is situated on the banks of the river, providing a pleasant view for guests staying in Pudong.

There were some areas that could be improved. The breakfast options were limited and seemed to run out quickly, leaving guests without food choices.

Room is bif & comfortable

I bought through the net in usd. When I settled the bill, the exhange rate use was not the bank exhange rate but the hotel exhange rate was 6.8 rmb to one USD.The hotel exchange rate was much higher.Customer should be able to settle in usd otherwise we should be quotied in rmb.

Rooms were stunning with a nice bathtub and useful desk. Automatic curtains and blinds. Impressive decor and tranquil garden. Staff was helpful, especially the concierge and Mandy at Reception.

Brand new facility - everything works and is clean. Concierge helpful - willing to make suggestions and assist where necessary.

Location is quite poor - hotel is out of place in a poor neighborhood, making us uncomfortable. We took one walk around and returned to the hotel. Must go out of the area for all activities. Our floor had a power outage our first night at 3am - were moved to another floor and were promised a fruit plate as compensation, which we never got. New hotel - new staff - some excperience needed.

Lobby and rooms are really nice. Close to Pudong/financial district.

Service is hit and miss. Nothing of interest in the vicinity - No restaurants close by. Location is isolated and far away from shopping and entertainment. Room service very expensive.

This venue was a delight to be in. the variety of luxurious amenities offered surpassed my expectations. the elegant spa and wellness centre was a haven of tranquility and relaxation. the indoor swimming pool and sauna were spotless and had an exclusive atmosphere. the catering service was fantastic with a one, of, a, kind restaurant serving delicious dishes, and a comfortable bar/lounge area. the private facilities were exceptional. the location advantages offered were exceptional with stunning views of the city.

One minor issue encountered was the service. Although staff members were friendly and attentive, there seemed to be a lack of communication between the team members, causing minor delays during certain events.
